American Literature and the works of Jorge Luis Borges

are pleased to invite you to participate in their Literature and Film workshop:

 

American Literature and the work of Jorge Luis Borges 

 

Determinism, Chance and Free Will,

as reflected in major works of American Literature and in selected pieces by Jorge Luis Borges

 

Target Participants: Literature and movie lovers interested in developing critical skills while deriving aesthetic pleasure from comparative literature.

 

The workshop: Four three-hour sessions. The first three meetings will be focused on comparative literary analysis, and the closing session will involve viewing and analyzing Woody Allen’s Match Point.

 

Literary texts to be used will be provided. Participants will be given the reading list by email after having confirmed their attendance.

 

 

Tutors: Leonor Cozzolino (Literature)

            Eduardo Gemetto (Film)

 

Requirements: Good command of English (Upper Intermediate +)

Duration:          May 2012

Schedule:        Wednesdays from 1.30 pm to 16.30 pm

Starting Date:   May 16th

 

Venue:             International House, San Isidro

Monthly Fees:  $450,00
