International House Certificate for Teaching Spanish as a Second or Foreign Language

 

The certificate is aimed at people who want to teach Spanish to foreigners either in Argentina or abroad.

 

IH Certificate for Teaching Spanish as a Second or Foreign Language is an internationally valid certificate based on the prestige and history of International House in the world of language teaching and impeccable reputation in the training of teachers, supported by a network of over 150 schools in over 50 countries on 5 continents.

 

The Certificate, issued by International House World Organisation based in London, is internationally valid. The certificate is written in English and on the reverse includes a detailed Spanish analysis.

 

The Course

The Certificate for Teachers of Spanish consists of 120 hours and is divided into three areas:

 

Methodology: use of the communicative approach in the classroom.

Grammatical analysis: a way of analysing language and its components.

Practice: Regular practice before a small group of foreign students.

 

Evaluation Mode

The evaluation is done during the course and takes into account factors such as punctuality and attendance (100% attendance to the course required), dedication, teamwork, written practical work, resources in the practical classes, interaction with students and peers, lesson planning, and production of materials.

 

Format

• The maximum number of members of the course is 6 people and a minimum of 4.
• The course is intensive and lasts 4 weeks.

Fee

The course fee is $ 3,000. This includes materials and refreshments. The certificate costs £ 30 (30 UK pounds).

 

Payment

The payment is to be made as follows: 50% on enrollment and 50% on the first day of the course. Also, on the first day of the course the International House Certificate fee must be paid. In case of failure to pass the course the amount of the certificate will be refunded.

 

Registration

If you are interested or wish to register for the course, you should request a pre-registration form,which will be sent via e-mail.

You must complete and return this form by e-mail. Include a phone number and the words "Pre-Interview Form IH Certificate" in the subject line. We will then contact you to arrange an interview at our headquarters in San Isidro in person or by phone or skype (if you are not already in the country), at a time convenient to you. Upon receipt of the letter of acceptance to the course, you are able to book the place and pay 50% of the fee. Open Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 16.30.
